Audrey Hepburn~Icon

I think we can all agree Audrey Hepburn was one of the most iconic of all fashion icons to ever exist, her clean lined, bold accessory staple is still being mimicked today.  Beyond her serene beauty and classic style she was an incredible actress who brought a joy and energy to her roles that I've never seen in anyone else, her aura was powerful and intoxicating.  Her first film Roman Holiday earned her an Academy Award for Best Actress (it's my favorite) and she went on to star in major classic such as Breakfast At Tiffany's, My Fair Lady and Sabrina.  Beyond her brilliant acting talent, amazing fashion sense and entrancing abilities she was an incredible human being who dedicated the later part of her life as a Good Will Ambassador for UNICEF and traveled the world feeding starving children.  I always loved and admired her as a child and even writing this post I'm profoundly affected by her incredible energy that is still vibrating on the planet.  There will never be another Audrey Hepburn, she was definitely one of a kind.

  3. Audrey is such a classic and one who was truly beautiful on the outside as well as the inside. And you can see how her loving nature kept her young. I agree -- she really was one of a kind.

Hope you're having an incredible weekend, Heather.

  5. I love all the pics, she was such a pretty woman and a graceful angel. It's interesting to see how standards of beauty have changed since her time! She was the incarnation of "grace".

  6. Audrey Hepburn is my IDOL!!! I'm only 11 but 11 years is long enough to learn who is a legend that can never be replaced. My new friend introduced me to her, lending DVD's to me, enlightening me, showing me how awesome ALL of her work is and giving me something to look up to. Since i was 6 I've wanted to be an actress and looking at Audrey and seeing how she portrays all of her parts with such elagance, beauty and a light that puts a smile onto your face but still acting serious, dramatic or tragic. I think she is one of the world's most beautiful, best actresses which inspires me to learn and look up to her as I live to grow up and forfill my dream of being an actress hoping to be atleast a fraction as good as her. The pictures shown are just an example of how great her work was and even now after she has passed on still is just as amazing!
